Fallout 3: Broken Steel. Any companion you had will be by your side when you wake up and you're tasked with a few missions from the Brotherhood to go after the Enclave. The awesome robot, Liberty Prime, makes an appearance as well and it's nice to see one of the coolest parts of the initial game be in the DLC.

Location[edit source]

Ive found the Incinerator in the enclave camp at Rockbreaker's Last Gas, there was a corpse (i didnt kill him) of a soldier, wo had it on him. This might be an early way to get it, way before it usually appears (as i understand), by this time i was headed for Little Lamplight. --78.34.236.61 12:58, 16 June 2009 (UTC)

One can be found on an Enclave Hellfire Trooper at the alien power cell site at the truck in the irradiated crater east of Fort Bannister. There will be an Enclave encampment with an Eclave Scientist, an Officer, a Tesla Armor trooper and the heavy incinerator carrying Hellfire soldier. They will be fighting numerous Talon Co. Mercs. There is also an Enclave auto turret at the camp.

Once can also be found at the enclave camp outside of the Deathclaw Sanctuary.

Demolitions Expert[edit source]

I've been using the Heavy Incinerator for a while now. I've noticed it seems to have some kind of impact damage over an area, like an explosive would, even if it's minimal in both damage and range. I'm curious if Demolitions Expert would augment it, ever so slightly? 75.120.26.189 12:15, 6 June 2009 (UTC)

Pyromaniac Guess[edit source]

I'm guessing Pyromaniac is about to gain another use...--86.146.1.198 14:08, 26 April 2009 (UTC)

Yeah, i hope so anyway. Its only really useful for the shishkebab right now, it makes very little difference with the flamer.

It's a bit more useful if you use the pyromaniac fix mod DragonJTS 17:54, 28 April 2009 (UTC)

What does that do? I only have the 360 version myself so i cant get mods sadly. If i had a decent PC id buy the PC version straight away, some of the mods for that look amazing.--Greig91 21:05, 28 April 2009 (UTC):You can get the mods on 360. its ps3 that has no mods DragonJTS 17:43, 29 April 2009 (UTC)

I'm pretty certain you have that the wrong way around. Either that or i have actualy lost it lol. What does it actualy do anyway? Just add more damage to the perk or something?--Greig91 18:49, 29 April 2009 (UTC)

No the 360 can not get mods from games you can mod a 360 but you can also mod ps3 wii everything but the game cannot be.

By 'mods' I mean DLC. The DLC is available for xbox360 and PC, but PS3, since microsoft signed an exclusive deal with bethesda. GECK mods, are, of course, PC only. Your thinking of 'modding', referring to making a console capable of playing pirated games. And whoever changed my quote to bold the words, don't change other people posts. DragonJTS 18:51, 29 April 2009 (UTC)

wait, lets start over. I misread the lines as the one about 'what does it do' being in reference to the heavy article, aka heavy incinerator, not the mod. the mod fixes a mess of small problems with the game DragonJTS 18:53, 29 April 2009 (UTC)

I've only seen this thing being used in one video, it looks like a fire version of the plasma rifle. It fires projectile-like fireballs but they move slower than bullets/lasers, kinda like the plasma rifle does. I didn't notice any arc when it was fired, but the guy was up in the hellfire's face so i only saw close range shots. It might arc more over long distance.--Greig91 17:50, 28 April 2009 (UTC)

Heavy Incinerator Ammunition[edit source]

'It has what appears to be tanks of flamer fuel on the side, and will likely share ammo with the Flamer.'

Incinerator

I kinda doubt that, for the same reason i doubt the Tesla Cannon will use ECP. The flamer works like a full auto gun, you can use 60 rounds with it in about 30 seconds. The only way thats going to work is if this thing uses like 20 per shot. Anyone who uses the flamer is gonna have like 10,000 ammo for it, which would mean they have 10,000 shots for the Heavy.

Fallout 3 Heavy Incinerator

Its like them releasing a new sniper rifle that uses 5mm minigum ammunition, it just wouldn't make any sense.--Greig91 19:12, 2 May 2009 (UTC)

HAHA! i laugh at you! Now that its released its basically confirmed the incinerator uses flamer fuel and the tesla cannon uses ecp packs, but that a bad thing for the cannon, now we have a powerful weapon with very common ammo Werewolfhell 16:11, 5 May 2009 (UTC)

Why laugh at me? My point stands, i was spot on with what i said. You should be laughing at Bethesda for making two extremely powerful weapons that use some of the most common ammunition in the game.--Greig91 17:57, 5 May 2009 (UTC)

The Heavy Incinerator isn't overpowered at all, does about the same damage as the new unique flamer with pyromaniac. Combined with the fact that we have new 1500 hp feral ghoul reavers, the weapon is fine.

ECP's are common ammo? --76.108.236.41 07:13, 12 May 2009 (UTC)

Yeah, you can find around 80 of them in enclave crates, tons in shops, and a lot more with scrounger,a big gun and the urge to kill 'n' loot some enclave muthas Werewolfhell 09:49, 25 May 2009 (UTC)

They are relatively common, based on the amount of damage they do with only one ECP. With a weapon like the gattling laser, they are relatively rare, because its insane rate of fire.

you can buy a few hundred, and sometime a thousand at shrak and flapnels. but I almost never find any.

ECPs are not common until after The Waters Of Life where you encounter more Enclave camps which potentially have crates with them, or later levels where you encounter more Sentry Bots which might have some as loot when you kill them as well as some; and of course at higher levels after The Waters of Life you may encounter Enclave sentry bots and Enclave soldiers wielding Gatling Lasers, as well as the occasional Gatling Laser-toting Overlord. Pyromaniac Perk[edit source]

Does the Heavy Incinerator work with the pyromaniac perk? (I don't know because i have the PC version...) Just like the Burnmaster doesn't work with the pyromaniac perk.

It appears to be. I have the Pyromaniac perk and, even though my big guns skill isn't 100 and my heavy incinerator is not in perfect condition (though it's close), it still has a DAM of 130, compared with the 112 DAM without the perk according to the article

I need to know what its base damage is first, because theres no way its 15. Mine is at max condition, i have the pyromaniac perk and it does 168 damage. What does yours do without pyromaniac?--92.9.32.94 00:04, 6 May 2009 (UTC)

At 25 big guns and about half repair, mine does 50 without pyro, so i'd think it'd do about 100 with full repair,- JoeHanSon

Yeah, something's screwy. I'm looking at the Xbox right now, and my Incinerator has a DAM of 172. That's with Pyromaniac, whereas the article says 56. I'd edit it myself, but she's not mint condition, and I don't have a 100 in Big Guns. Nitpicker of the Wastes 15:42, 6 June 2009 (UTC)

Maybe you have Bloody Mess and/or other Perks affecting the DAM?

Repaired by?[edit source]

If someone could add what can be used to repair this, that would be appreciated. I assume other incerators, but can't be sure.

So far it appears only other incinerators can repair it.Cavesloth 03:27, 7 May 2009 (UTC)Cavesloth

dont forget about the stores

Holstered[edit source]

Is it just my 360, or does this weapon not have any holstered appearance? When I put it away, it simply disappears. When I bring it back out, it just pops up in my hands out of nowhere. Jdw 18:01, 8 May 2009 (UTC)

All big weapons except the Missile Launcher and Fat Man do that. It is unrealistic but a holstered flamethrower of that size wouldn't fit anywhere.--173.25.42.122 03:20, 9 May 2009 (UTC)

This is a tad misleading because all big weapons prior to broken steel do have a holstered appearance, just that some only have their backpack. Also, while it would be unrealistic to holster a big minigun, it's equally unrealistic to just shove it in your pocket LOL :) 72.235.91.236 03:26, 15 May 2009 (UTC)

also it doesn't have a backpack (I actually like that by the way, it's my primary weapon now)62.163.88.139 14:53, 9 May 2009 (UTC)

Fallout 4 How To Get Heavy Incinerator

Shouldn't the article not mention this in the notes then? It's not unusual at all.--76.108.236.41 07:14, 12 May 2009 (UTC)

The Tesla Cannon has a holstered appearance and that's huge--86.8.92.175 11:25, 12 May 2009 (UTC)

but that's a shoulder weapon 62.163.88.139 17:16, 13 May 2009 (UTC)

Maybe the Lone Wanderer just has deep pockets. I know mine does. 75,000 caps. Shazaam!--173.25.42.122 01:31, 18 May 2009 (UTC)

I think the flamer and minigun and probably even the gatling laser were supposed to have a belt or hose attached to the backpack. but because the weapon disappears they didn't include it, I suppose they made they were intending bug guns with backpacks would be unholsterable, but in the end they changed that. ````

Tactics moved from article[edit source]

  • With enough practice and careful attention to the arc the fire takes, this item can effectively used to 'shell' groups of enemies. This works great at Roosevelt Academy or the Enclave camp near Oasis.
  • The Heavy Incinerator is great for taking out mines such as the ones in Minefield.
  • The Heavy Incinerator is a great tool for taking out Deathclaws. It seems to cripple body parts very quickly, so the deathclaw can not run or leap at you. This may also be an advantage over the Dart Gun because the Heavy Incinerator deals damage fast, you don't need to swich over to a stronger weapon, and you gain all of the advantages from the Deathclaw also having its arms, torso, and head crippled.
  • In addition to being a great long range artillery weapon, it is also great in short range combat (though not too short or you will burn yourself). For example, in Take It Back, I used it against large groups of Enclave outside Project Purity. It killed a lot of them, and weakened the rest, allowing the Brotherhood of Steel and Fawkes made short work of any survivors
  • when I did take it back every one except sarah lyons had nabbed an incinerator, leaving me with the one broken one.

Bug?[edit source]

I can't seem to blow up cars with this weapon. Anyone else have this bug? 72.235.91.236 10:17, 10 June 2009 (UTC)

UPDATE - It seems that this weapon is unable to blow up certain vehicles at certain angles. For instance, trucks will not blow up if shot at the front, but will blow up if shot just behind the driver's seat. However, if you shoot the same truck with a laser rifle or flamer from the same frontal angle, it will blow up. 72.235.91.236 00:31, 11 June 2009 (UTC)
I actually prefer using this gun on my Big Guns Character for just this reason. Mishaps with missed shots and a vehicle just happens to be sitting there have killed me plenty of times. Anyways, i can always switch to Eugene if I need to blow up a vehicle (or i just feel like a pyromaniac) WouldYouKindly 04:42, 26 June 2009 (UTC)

Hello, I have Point Lookout and Broken Steel and in Point Lookout I have Superior Defender, Ghoul Ecology and Pyromaniac. And surprisingly my Heavy Incinerator (at 100%) does a WHOPPING 208 damage!!! Is this a bug or all perks combined? Get back to me......

Fire Flower[edit source]

This weapon being used makes me think of Fire Mario. --70.142.41.253 08:43, 14 June 2009 (UTC)

If only we has some koopas and gumbas to shoot... --J.J.-Lopez 02:14, September 15, 2009 (UTC)

Back down to earth[edit source]

Fallout 3 Heavy Incinerator
if fired strait up into the air, it will come down a little ways a way from the player,i love spinning in a circle firing and watching a ring of fire land arund me--JoeHanSon 21:04, 17 June 2009 (UTC)
Lol, I actually managed to kill two random raiders doing that. (i just saw their health bars show up and drop down) I never actually found their bodies. One of the funniest things I've ever seen in this game, just because it was so random. WouldYouKindly 04:39, 26 June 2009 (UTC)

Funny to find this section. I came to see if there was comment about this weapon fired up to the sky! Firing on top of your head and stand below the beams is the fanciest in game death you'll experience. This is also an awesome boredom killer! --190.201.84.8 07:23, November 18, 2009 (UTC)

Kinda makes me think of Crash Bandicoot 3, fighting Dingodile -- Anon ^_^

Bug[edit source]

I have noticed that sometimes when using the heavy incinerator any limbs that i blow off of someone with the weapon sometimes have the tendency to stay engulfed in flames for extremely long amounts of time (days). Did anyone else notice this? (71.207.83.40 23:43, January 6, 2010 (UTC))

Yeh im pretty sure it does that with all fire based weapons. --Radraider 20:12, September 21, 2010 (UTC)

V.A.T.S.?[edit source]

is it just me, or my game, but dose this thing have a near perfect hit ratio in vats, ive targeted stuff with only about 9% chance-to-hit and it still gets EVERY SHOT, its incredible, the only downside is that my AP only alows for 1 hit, 2 if im on jet, but seriously, is this a bug, or im i just insanly lucky? (note: i have only 6 luck and 30 or so in big guns, so im not exactly specialized for this weapon)Katikar 13:06, January 23, 2010 (UTC)

Another bug...[edit source]

I was shooting in the air with the heavy incinerator and full tesla armor set and when I got hit by a projectile, I switched in third person view and found out I am partially invisible. I can only see my arms, the weapon, my head and the kind of plasma reservoir on the back of the armor. I can also see the small green lights...

Fallout 3 Heavy Incinerator Machine

nothing to do with the gun, its something with the tesla armour, its the Fx part that due to a glitch that sepperates the armour and what you've now got, its an extremly rare occurence, theres an article about it someware, check the article on tesla power armourKatikar 09:18, March 20, 2010 (UTC)

Overall DPS[edit source]

After being fired for 5 seconds, the Heavy Incinerator does 300 DPS! Can someone add that to the chart?
