The Graphic Enhancement Mod, or more commonly known as GEMFX is hands down the best mod to make Rome 2 look gorgeous. Best of all, with GEM installed and the added graphical features of the mod, I could lower some of the ingame graphics settings without lowering the quality of the presentation so I ended up with better performance and better.

Best Rome 2 Mods
CPU: AMD FX-8350, not OC'd.
GPU: MSI GTX 770(2GB factory overclocked)
RAM: Corsair Vengeance, 16GB at 1600MHz
OS is on an SDD, but the game is running on a 7200RPM HDD. Dont think that would affect it.
Motherboard: Asus Sabertooth 990FX. Audio Chip burned out, dont know if that would affect it either, but maybe when it went out, something else got affected that is changing my performance??
900W Antec PSU.
Haven't run any temp monitors while playing, but im trying to play it maxed out with all the unit counts doubled(it feels too small, otherwise.), and the game just gets choppy/bad fps
Building a new PC/upgrading parts isnt out of the question, as im thinking of doing that anyways, but I want to hold off on that for a few months, until they announce the next AMD GPUs, or the 980ti or something.
What can I do to boost framerates? I havent tried using the GamingApp to boost the clock speed or anything, dunno how much that will help. (playing at 1600x900)
