Hp Disable Touch Screen
Try finding your touchscreen XID with xinput -list, then add the following command to your startup applications: xinput disable touchscreen XID (for example, if the XID is 9, then the command would be xinput disable 9).
My touch screen at HP - Pavilion x360 11-n010dx 2-in-1 w/beats audio stopped working. I think I do not have a touch screen driver anymore. How to fix the problem and reinstall the driver? Thanks
Is this a good question?
Comments:

Hi @warpig1 ,
Perhaps you could edit your comment above to reflect that your problem was related to Dell tablets, if that it what it what it took to fix your problem (re your previous comment further down the page regarding Dell tablets). This may help other people with Dell laptops and not perhaps cause some problems for people with HP laptops which this particular page is supposed to be about. If it is about a HP laptop then apologies
Touch screen functionality has steadily been integrated into more laptops and desktops. Microsoft designed Windows 8 more specifically for touch screen devices. However, the mouse is still very much prevalent; and it could be here to stay in the foreseeable future as touch screen laptops and desktops don’t seem to have really caught on. This is how you can disable, or switch off, touch screen in Windows 10.

First, press the Win key + X to open the menu in the snapshot directly below. That includes a Device Manager option. Select that to open Device Manager, which lists your external hardware components.
On the Device Manager window you’ll find Human Interface Devices. Click that to expand a list of HIDs as below. In the snapshot below there is no touch screen item listed there as it isn’t a touch screen laptop. However, a touch screen laptop would include HID-compliant touch screen there.
Right-click the HID-compliant touch screen item to open its context menu. That menu includes a Disable, otherwise switch off, option. So select the Disable option there. A window then opens requesting confirmation to disable it. Press the Yes button to switch off the touch screen.
If you ever need it back on, right-click HID-compliant touch screen. Then select Enable from the context menu to restore it. Note that you’ll also need to restart Windows 10 to activate the touch screen again.
So that’s how you can switch off the touch screen in both Windows 10 and 8. If you switch off touch screen, you might as well turn off Tablet Mode as well. This Tech Junkie article provides a little more Tablet Mode details.
